Together with the Rotary Club of Mt. Joy, PA, BOBA is planning a commemorative event on December 17 at the Malmedy Massacre monument in that Lancaster Co. town.

Lancaster County has a special relationship with that field at Baugnez Crossroads because fully a dozen of the 120 American soldiers paraded into that field – and 5 of the 87 men massacred by Peiper’s SS goons — were from this county. As important, seven Lancaster Co. survivors made it home to keep the memory alive.

We owe it to those brave men – and all American veterans – to carry on this memory.
